 Our students and staff were able to enjoy a warm holiday treat at lunchtime thanks to the outpouring of support. Christmas Spirit week has been a lot of fun and full of holiday excitement.

 

 
Christmas through the Decades- What an amazing Christmas Program this year.  All of our students did such a fantastic job.  Grace Christian Academy sure does have a lot of talent . Thank you for coming out and supporting our students.  We thank God for all of you as we celebrate what God did at our Christmas Program and our record breaking fundraiser! Thank you to everyone for making it a great success. 

There were some fantastic items up for auction and it was fun watching the bidding competition!  In addition to all the donations by GCA families, we would like to thank Raising Cane’s, Clear Lake Dermatology, American Furniture Warehouse, Harry and Cindy Bryant, and Lewis Jewelers for their donated items.

It's time for GCA’s annual Christmas Program and Silent Auction.  Join us December 8th, 6:30 pm at Grace Church.

 Cooler weather is finally upon us.  Here are a few reminders about dress code and outerwear.  No sweatpants (or sweatpant-like pants), joggers, athletic pants, pajamas, or scrubs. Outerwear should be navy or gray only. Sweaters, ¼, ½, full-zip jackets – must be plain without a manufacturer’s logo. No Hoodies. Outerwear with the GCA Eagle logo or crest is allowed and may be purchased through GCA online store. Collared shirts with GCA Seal logo only (navy, gray, or white only) must still be worn, even if outerwear is worn as part of the school uniform. Hats, scarves, and gloves (only worn outside the building) - can be worn in any style and color. Regular outerwear or rain jackets with hoods may be worn, though expected to be removed while in the building.

The “School is Cool” assembly will be presented by Around the World Yoyo Entertainment Company. It is a fun, fast paced, educational, interactive program.

The entertainer is not only great with the yoyo, he is also a successful and experienced communicator. He will take the students on a learning journey using the yoyo and other fun activities to communicate the importance of school. Students will also hear how God has created us and given each of us the wonderful gift of intelligence.

For five days following the assembly yoyos will be available for students to purchase. There are four types of high quality yoyos ranging in price from
$8-$16.  Be on the look-out for a letter and order form coming soon..

Next week is Red Ribbon Week!  What is Red Ribbon Week?   It is an ideal way for people and communities to unite and take a visible stand against drugs. Show your personal commitment to a drug-free lifestyle through the symbol of the Red Ribbon, October 23 - 31st. The mission of the Red Ribbon Campaign® is to present a unified and visible commitment towards the creation of a drug-free America.

 

The 2023 National Red Ribbon Theme this year is "Be Kind to Your Mind.  Live Drug Fee."  Each day next week will be a theme dress up day for students and staff.  There will be small treats/prizes for those who participate in the daily themes. 

Students will be participating in activities and lessons that promote living a drug-free lifestyle,  Be sure to ask your student all about our daily activities!
